Key Capabilities
Live Dashboards
The same interactive dashboards you build on the web platform render natively on mobile, optimised for touch interaction and smaller screens. Charts, gauges, controls, maps, and custom widgets all function with full interactivity. Configure mobile-specific layouts when the default responsive behaviour is not enough.
Push Notifications
Instant alerts when thresholds breach, equipment triggers an alarm, or a rule chain fires. Notifications are delivered in real time via cloud messaging, even when the app is backgrounded. Configure notification priority and filtering so operators receive only what matters to their role.
Alarm Management
Acknowledge, clear, and assign alarms directly from the field. View the full alarm list with severity, timestamp, and originating device. Drill into alarm details, review associated telemetry, and take action without walking back to a workstation.
Device Control
Send RPC commands and update device attributes remotely. Toggle outputs, adjust setpoints, trigger calibration routines, or restart equipment – all from the mobile interface. Commands are executed with the same role-based permission model as the web platform.
QR Code Scanning
Scan equipment QR codes for instant device identification and data access. Point the camera at a tagged asset and jump directly to its dashboard, telemetry history, or maintenance record. Use QR scanning for device claiming and commissioning workflows.
Photo Capture
Attach site photos to any entity in the platform. Document installation progress, capture equipment condition during inspections, or record defects for maintenance teams. Photos are stored as entity attributes and accessible from any platform interface.
Offline Caching
Cached data remains available for viewing when connectivity drops. Dashboards, device lists, and recent telemetry are stored locally so operators maintain situational awareness in areas with intermittent coverage. Data synchronises automatically when the connection is restored.
Platform
Built with Flutter for native performance on Android. Single codebase, consistent experience across devices. The application communicates with IndustryOS via REST API and WebSocket connections, delivering real-time updates with minimal battery impact.
Security
Authentication and access control match the rigour of the web platform:
- Username/password with optional two-factor authentication
- OAuth 2.0 SSO for integration with corporate identity providers
- Biometric authentication – fingerprint and face recognition for fast, secure access
- Role-based access control ensures operators see only the dashboards, devices, and data relevant to their role
- Secure token-based sessions with automatic expiry and refresh
