From Raw Telemetry to Operational Intelligence
Every shift generates thousands of data points – but most never reach the people who need them. IndustryOS Data puts clean, curated operational intelligence directly in the hands of the teams making daily decisions. No analyst required, no waiting for reports.
This is a full business intelligence platform purpose-built for industrial operations. It connects natively to IndustryOS IoT, so real-time and historical telemetry flows directly into your BI dashboards without manual data movement, CSV exports, or middleware.

Core Capabilities
40+ Visualization Types
Bar, line, scatter, heatmap, geospatial maps, pivot tables, gauges, treemaps, sunburst charts, and more. The visualization library covers every way you need to represent operational data – from time-series trends on a single sensor to multi-site geospatial overviews. A plug-in architecture supports custom visualization types when the built-in library does not cover your use case.
No-Code Chart Builder
Create visualizations without writing SQL. The point-and-click interface lets process engineers, shift supervisors, and operations managers build their own charts by selecting datasets, dimensions, metrics, and filters. Drag, drop, configure, publish. Technical users build the datasets; everyone else builds the views they need.
SQL Lab
A full-featured SQL IDE for power users. Syntax highlighting, auto-complete, query history, and Jinja templating for parameterised queries. Write, test, and save queries against any connected data source. Results render inline with immediate visualization options. Use SQL Lab to prototype charts before promoting them to dashboards.
Semantic Layer
Define custom dimensions, metrics, and calculated fields at the dataset level. Business logic lives in one place – not scattered across individual charts. When the definition of “equipment availability” or “mean time between failures” changes, update it once and every dashboard reflects the new calculation. Consistent definitions eliminate the spreadsheet-vs-dashboard discrepancies that erode trust in data.
Interactive Dashboards
Cross-filtering, drill-down, and time-range selection make dashboards investigative tools, not static reports. Click a bar in one chart to filter every other chart on the dashboard. Drill from a site-level overview down to individual equipment. CSS template support enforces brand consistency across all published dashboards.
Role-Based Access Control
Granular permissions at the dashboard, dataset, and row level. Control who sees what – from executive summaries down to individual sensor streams. Row-level security filters data dynamically based on the logged-in user’s role, so a single dashboard can serve multiple sites or business units without duplication. Full audit logging tracks every query and access event.
Configurable Caching
Reduce database load and accelerate dashboard performance with layered caching. Configure cache policies per dataset or per chart. Frequently accessed dashboards render instantly from cache; ad-hoc queries hit the database directly. Cache invalidation is time-based or triggered on data refresh.
Data Sources
Connects to 60+ databases and data engines, including:
- Relational – PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, SQLite
- Cloud warehouses – Snowflake, BigQuery, Amazon Redshift
- Analytical engines – ClickHouse, Apache Spark, Presto, Trino
- Any SQL-speaking datastore via Python DB-API
If your data lives in a database with a SQL interface, IndustryOS Data can connect to it.
Platform Integration
Native IoT Connection
IndustryOS Data connects directly to the IndustryOS IoT platform database. Device telemetry, attributes, alarms, and entity relationships are available as queryable datasets without ETL pipelines or manual data transfers. Build a dashboard today that shows yesterday’s production alongside this minute’s sensor readings.
Unified Operational View
Combine IoT telemetry with data from ERP systems, maintenance databases, weather APIs, and any other SQL-accessible source. A single dashboard can overlay equipment vibration data from IndustryOS IoT with work order history from your CMMS and production targets from your ERP.
Deployment Options
Cloud-Hosted SaaS
Managed by IndustryOS. No infrastructure to provision, no upgrades to schedule. Your Data Analytics instance is provisioned alongside your IoT platform and connected automatically.
On-Premise
Deploy within your own infrastructure for environments with strict data residency or air-gap requirements. Lightweight, cloud-native architecture scales horizontally – add capacity by adding nodes, not by upgrading hardware.
Who Uses It
| Role | Typical Use |
|---|---|
| Process Engineers | Time-series analysis, equipment performance trends, threshold identification |
| Shift Supervisors | Real-time production dashboards, alarm frequency analysis, shift handover reports |
| Maintenance Managers | MTBF/MTTR tracking, failure pattern analysis, spare parts consumption |
| Operations Directors | Multi-site KPI comparison, energy cost analysis, capacity planning |
| Reliability Engineers | Vibration and thermal trend analysis, degradation curve modeling |
| EHS Teams | Environmental compliance dashboards, incident trend reporting |
Key Differentiators
- No analyst bottleneck – non-technical users build their own charts with the no-code builder
- Native IoT integration – no ETL, no middleware, no delay between data collection and data access
- SQL power when needed – full SQL IDE for complex analysis, Jinja templating for parameterised reports
- Scales with your operation – from a single site with ten sensors to a global fleet with millions of data points
- Consistent definitions – the semantic layer ensures everyone works from the same metrics
